Environmental Contribution of the Year Award

The Middle East organisation recognised with this Award will demonstrate leadership and commitment to the enhancement, preservation and protection of the environment. Achievements can include, but are not limited to, the development and implementation of new or innovative environmental standards, techniques or practices; the sustainable management of natural resources including soil, water resources, natural vegetation and wildlife; effective communication or education programs raising public awareness and understanding of environmental issues and/or innovations. Special focus will be given to initiatives beginning April 2007.

Submissions should include clear examples of:

1) Energy efficiency
2) Waste reduction
3) Efficient environmental practices
4) Development and implementation of new or innovative environmental standards
