Environmental Contribution of the Year Award
With the global warming crisis looming larger than ever, forward-thinking organisations have committed to maintaining their inroads into environmental contributions – with the attitude that doing the right thing for the environment makes better business sense. For these organisations; sustainable practices are an integral part of their day-to-day business, whilst working within the confines of slashed budgets and tighter controls.
The Middle East organisation recognised with this award will demonstrate a continued commitment to the enhancement, preservation and protection of the environment.
To qualify for this award, special focus will be given to initiatives beginning April 2008.
Submissions should include clear examples of:
- The development and implementation of new or innovative environmental standards techniques or practices
- Energy efficiency
- The sustainable management of natural resources including soil, water resources, natural vegetation and wildlife
- Waste reduction
- Efficient environmental practices
- Effective communication programs to raise public awareness and understanding of environmental issues
