Best Family Business of the Year Award

Family businesses tend to withstand turbulent times through an agile strategic approach and the ability to make quick decisions. Those businesses that have capitalised on the strength of their community relationships, their positive family and business linkage and multigenerational family involvement, are the ones who stand apart from the rest.

This award will honour a family business in the Middle East that demonstrates sustainable growth and commercial success with multi-generational family involvement.

To qualify for this award, special focus should be given from the period beginning April 08. The business must currently be run by at least one family member and at least one other family member must work for the business.

The Judges decision will be based on:

1. Long-term strategic view of the economic and competitive environment
2. Successful growth of the company over a given period
3. Efficient use of resources at hand
4. Positive linkage and involvement between family and business
5. Innovative practices and strategy
6.  Dynamic contributions to community and industrys and strategy
